Similar functions to Citronella and with a pleasant lemony aroma. Used in perfumes. Lemon citrus type, not to be mistaken for cineole type Eucalyptus.

QUALITIES: Reported to be antiseptic and fumigant, similar to Citronella.
A member of the Myrtaceae family, it is a large Evergreen tree 24 to 40 m high. Blue green leaves alternate, narrowly lance-shaped, 10 to 20 cm long, 1 to 2.5 cm wide, creamy white flowers and a smooth light gray bark. It is native to Brazil, Tasmania and Australia.
