Original information from Kobashi Official Website:
LATIN NAME: Origanum marjorana.
SOURCE: Steamed distilled from flowering herb.
COLOUR: Light yellow.
ORIGIN: England.
AROMA: Herby, warm, woody, slightly camphor like, characteristic of the fresh herb.
QUALITIES: Warming and comforting. Massage abdomen during menstruation, or add to a warm compress. Useful for treating tired aching muscles. Ideal in a sports massage. A few drops on a vaporiser will encourage sleep. We add a few drops of this oil to a warm/hot bath on the first signs of a cold. Widely used in the food industry as a flavouring. This is not to be mistaken for the cheaper Spanish Marjoram.
Blends well with Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Rosemary, Cypress and Tea tree.
A member of the Laiaceae family, a tender, bushy perennial up to sixty centimetres high, woody stem and dark green oval leaves and clusters of whitish flowers. Native to Mediterranean, Egypt and north Africa.
