SOURCE: Steamed distilled from the seeds of ripe fruit
COLOUR: Clear to slightly yellow
ORIGIN: Guatemala
AROMA: strong character of fresh cardamom, sweet, spicy, fresh, slightly woody
QUALITIES: Warming to the system. The seeds are traditionally offered after a meal in the East to aid digestion and as a breath freshener. An ideal choice for adding to a massage oil or bath after a hectic day in the office. Kobashi uses the smaller superior quality Cardamom seeds from Guatemala.
Native to tropical Asia, a member of the Zingiberaceae family to which ginger belongs. A perennial reed like plant up to four metres high with long, flat, silky blade shaped leaves. Long steams bearing small yellowish flowers, with purple tips followed by brownish red seeds.
