LATIN NAME: Pogostemon cablin
SOURCE: Steam distilled from leaves
COLOUR: Rich dark amber
ORIGIN: Sumatra
AROMA: deep musky, exotic oil with earthy under tones

The Love and peace oil.

QUALITIES: Prevents dry, rough and chapped skin. Ideal to add to moisturiser or oil to treat 'gardeners hand'. Add to shampoo/final rinse for dark hair - add to jojoba oil and massage into scalp for the treatment of dandruff or itchy scalp. Patchouli has antiseptic, anti viral, anti microbial and anti-inflammatory properties (among others) said to also be an aphrodisiac and antidepressant. A popular perfume of the sixties, and used extensively in the cosmetic and perfume industry.
